This 4-week online session meets each Sunday afternoon from 3:00-4:00 p.m. EST beginning February 22 and ending March 15. Registrants will receive excerpts of each author’s recent work, and the authors will join Wiley for a discussion of their use of craft. New York Times bestselling and essayist Maggie Smith opens the series with a conversation about being a multi-genre author. Then New York Times bestsellers, National Book Award finalists, and old friends Jess Walter and Ben Fountain will talk about writing political fiction. National Book Award winner Imani Perry will discuss her latest book Black in Blues, and Pulitzer Prize winner Andrew Sean Greer will get us laughing with a discussion about writing humor. Each workshop will include a Q&A for registrants to ask questions, and all sessions will close with an exercise to get you writing on your own. All sessions will be recorded and shared with registrants who cannot attend in real time.
